London, England ( Gene`s BMX News ) -- 09/28/2006
A pair of young BMX stars are dreaming of the 2012 Olympics after being selected
for the Great Britain talent team.

Eleven-year-olds Bradley Minns and Reece Hoggatt are two of just 12 British BMX
riders aged 11-15 selected for an elite squad to receive specialist training for the
2012 London Olympic Games in six years time.

The boys, pupils at Searlby Park, are two of the biggest success stories to come out
of the Harworth Hurricanes club which has just hosted the and British Championships
have already been crowned national champions.

Bradley`s father Bob said: It`s a fantastic achievement for both lads, and a great
oppotunity. And to get two from the same club and same school to be selected in just
12 out of the whole of Britain, is very special.

Both boys are in their fifth season of BMX riding having taken up the sport when
the Harworth club was formed.

At the recent national championships at their home course, Reece added the national
crown to the Euro Series title he already owns and a No.3 ranking in Europe. Bradley
finished runner-up in both the Under 12s Cruiser and the 11-year-old age group categories.

Bob added:
`They have both done really well, but the facilities available to them at Harworth are fantastic."
`It`s now the top club in the country and everything is based around the junior riders."
Both families are appealing for sponsorship to help the boys in their step up to the next level.
They need the support to purchase starting gates to be able to practice away from the course.
