09/11/2013 is the 12th Year Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist
attacks, An emotional experience that changes the world for ever, and a day
we all never will for get.

Please take a time out in your day and remember all the people that has
fallen on September 11th, 2001 - A turning point in so many peoples lives."

Freedom is a wonderful thing, DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!

On September 11, 2001 there was a horrendous terrorist attack on America which
can only be described as an act of war. As also in Denver, Colorado USA Pacific
Cycles takes over Schwinn/GT Bicycles as the courthouse is evacuated.

The World and the Bicycling Industry Changes for ever,

On Tuesday Morning, September 11th, 2001, there was a horrendous
terrorist attack on America which can only be described as an act of war.

Two U.S. planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center`s
Twin Towers in New York, another into the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and
a fourth in Pennsylvania.

American Airlines Flight 11, UNITED Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines
Flight 77, and UNITED Airlines Flight 93 were hijacked by terrorists and
flown into symbols of America in what most compare to Kamikaze tactics.

This caused the World Trade Center`s Twin Towers to collapse.
Another crushed a portion of the Pentagon. It is believed that the plane
that went down in Pennsylvania was headed for the White House in DC.

This killing more than 3,000 people in a matter of hours. Behind the staggering
number of deaths are the individuals, each of whom left behind family, friends
and coworkers.

This has changed so many people`s lives today and how we all live.


On Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 in New York. Firefighters salute as a coffin carrying
the remains of a New York City firefighter. The last city firefighter killed in
the attack on the World Trade Center to be memorialized.

September 11, 2001 - Pacific Cycles Takes Over
Schwinn/GT Bicycles As Courthouse Is Evacuated


DENVER, CO. -- Minutes after declaring Pacific`s $86 million bid the
winner in the Schwinn/GT cycling auction, Judge Sidney Brooks evacuated
the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Federal buildings
around the nation were evacuated shortly after several terrorist attacks that
morning.

Today bidding for the company opened at approximately 8:50 a.m. with a
bid from Huffy for $82.5 million in cash and another $1.25 million in credit.
The credit amount was based on the break-up fee Pacific would have to pay
Huffy for breaking its earlier deal to buy the bicycle division for
approximately $63 million.

Pacific immediately countered Huffy`s opening offer this morning with a bid
of $85 million. Huffy then countered with $84 in cash, plus the $1.25 million
break-up fee. Pacific again wasted no time and offered $86 million. Huffy
declined to bid further and Judge Brooks declared the Pacific`s winning bid.

When the building was evacuated, those attending the hearing adjourned
to the courthouse steps to wait for the final word on whether or not the
evacuation was indeed real. Many on the steps were on cell phones calling
to check on friends, relatives and co-workers in lower Manhattan where two
airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center buildings several hours earlier.

Judge Brooks tentatively scheduled a hearing on the sale of Schwinn`s fitness
division for next morning, should federal courthouses be open for business.

Direct Focus and Pacific have combined forces to buy the entire company.
Schwinn executives and the creditors committee, however, are hoping to
retain control of the company in order to increase its value for sale at a
later time.

Byron Smith, president of Mongoose Bicycles, a division of Pacific, said he
was confident that today's events put his company in a good position to also
acquire the fitness business with Direct Focus.
