The Youth Olympic Games is for athletes between the ages of 14 and 18.
Singapore is the host of the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2010.
The Youth Olympic Games aim is to bring together talented athletes aged from
14 to 18 - from around the world to participate in high-level competitions, - but
also, alongside the sports element of the event, to run educational programmes
on the Olympic values, the benefits of sports for a healthy lifestyle, - the social
values sport can deliver and the dangers of doping and of training to excess and
or of inactivity. The first ever Summer Youth Olympic Games will bring together approximately 3,200 athletes and 800 officials in 2010.

The first Youth Olympic Games, organised by the International Olympic
Committee (IOC), will be held in Singapore in August 2010. Cycling will
have three disciplines on the programme: road (road race and time trial),
mountain bike and BMX. In total, 26 sports will be represented at the Games
which will also offer the young athletes a cultural and educative programme.
The UCIs first Youth Olympic Games newsletter provides information on
the concept of participation and the qualification system, as well as the list
of qualifying events and the cycling calendar for the Youth Games.
BMX Team competition (three boys and one girl)
To be eligible for the 2010 YOG, participants must have
been born between January 1, 1992 and December 31, 1993.
